C. V. Brennan papers, 1924-1951.

The C. V. Brennan Papers consist of correspondence, reports, maps, and photographs pertaining to the potential for development of the mineral wealth of Alaska by non-Alaskan businessmen. Much of the correspondence is with other businessmen and was written in Brennan's capacity as general manager for the Howe Sound Company. It deals with exploration, land sales and leases, and various financial concerns in Alaska as well as in British Columbia and the Yukon. Of special interest is the folder of material relating to William Sulzer, a New York politician with long-standing interests in the North. Most of the small number of photographs in the collection are poorly identified aerial views of possible mining sites.
